Marley's First Birthday Cake Smash | Pennsylvania Family Photographer

Today is Marley’s birthday!!! Not only am I happy for her, but I’m so excited that I can finally share these photos! We met up in my studio recently for her first birthday portraits, followed by a cake smash and milk bath. This fabulous little girl was overflowing with personality the entire session! It made it so hard for me to choose which photos to share, but I guess that’s not a bad problem to have. Huge thanks and virtual bear hugs go out to Gourmand Cafe for creating a picture-perfect (and very yummy) cake!

It has been such a joy celebrating Marley the past year-and-a-half. First with her mama’s maternity session (see it here), and then with her newborn session (see it here). I was so honored when Kristen, Maxx, Marley, and Eileen returned to my studio to celebrate this upcoming milestone!

I recently cut back on non-wedding sessions for a few months so that I could pour more time into finishing my PhD. As a result, there are a few sessions that I photographed but never blogged. Now that I’m nearing the end of my dissertation work (Woohoo!!), I wanted to share a few of the sessions that I photographed but never had a chance to blog.

Here are a few of my favorites from James’ one year cake smash session. James was a little hesitant to try the cake, but his curiosity eventually got the best of him - and of course we managed to snap a few adorable photos of his experience! Big thanks to James’ talented momma for making his adorable birthday cake for us!

Here are a few of my favorites from Olivia’s one year cake smash session. Olivia wasn’t really a fan of cake that day, but we still managed to create a few adorable images together. Big thanks to Kakes by Kim for creating another stunning (and delicious) cake masterpiece for us!

One thing is for sure - Olivia’s big sister LOVED the cake!! ;)

Aspen's One Year Cake Smash Session | Berks County Pennsylvania Child Photographer

With it being Easter, I thought that today would be the PERFECT day to share a few photos from Aspen’s recent cake smash session. (Once you see the photos you’ll understand why!)

Aspen recently turned one, and I had the honor of helping her celebrate this milestone in my studio! Aspen and her mommy stopped by last week with some of the adorable spring-themed decorations from Aspen’s recent birthday party, as well as a gorgeous cake made by one of my favorite bakers, Kakes by Kim! Aspen’s brother came along, too, and was the most incredible helper throughout the session. She love, love, loves smiling for her big brother! (She also happens to love cake.)

This session was so much fun! I hope you enjoy this selection of photos from our time in the studio together.

Marty's Baptism | Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church | Berks County Pennsylvania Family Photographer

Marty was recently baptized at the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Reading, PA.  This was the second Greek Orthodox baptism I have observed, and it was just as beautiful to witness as the first one.  (The first one happened to be Marty's sister's baptism.  You can view those images here.)  I was honored when Marty's family asked me to photograph his baptism just a little over a year after I photographed his sister Annabella's ceremony.  His baptism date was very close to his first birthday, so we were celebrating that milestone on this day as well.

After the ceremony, the celebration continued at Dan's Restaurant in Green Hills.  The food at Dan's is always incredible, and the baptism and birthday cakes they had ordered were absolutely amazing!  Just like last time, care was taken to celebrate all of the children and loved ones in attendance.

Ren turned one! | A Star Wars themed cake smash session | Berks County Child Photographer

Ren turned one last week, and we celebrated this fabulous milestone with a Star Wars themed cake smash!  He is so freaking adorable - and I'm not just saying that because he's my nephew. ;)  Big thanks to Kim Nakonecznyj for creating this amazing R2-D2 cake for us!  Here are a few of my favorite photos (from the hundreds I took during our photoshoot).  Happy birthday, Ren!!

Spring Hollow Golf Club | Niva's Sweet 16

Back in March, I had the pleasure of photographing Niva's Sweet 16 celebration!  I have photographed Niva and her family a few times now, and after spending time with her it's easy to see why she is so loved!  Her family and friends really know how to throw a party!  Here are a few photos from the festivities that took place at the Spring Hollow Golf Club.
